Biography

In his 30 years of legal experience starting in the Bronx, New York District Attorney’s Office where he prosecuted violent felons and murderers to Partner in a major New York Firm, to Acting General Counsel in a major international corporation, to starting his own law firm in Los Angeles, California in 1995, Jim Yukevich has done it all.

With over 100 jury trials in venues across the United States, many lasting over 2 months, Mr. Yukevich has earned a reputation in the legal community as an honest, trustworthy, and tenacious litigator and trial lawyer. He is known for his keen ability to cross-examine opposing expert witnesses, and construct complex factual, scientific, and legal issues into unambiguous and straightforward narratives for both judges and jurors.

Mr. Yukevich fears no judge, opposing counsel, courtroom, or complicated case. A skilled negotiator, he delivers optimal results for his clients in mediations and settlement discussions. If attempts at resolution fail, he has repeatedly tried and won the most difficult and challenging cases.

In contested liability cases, Mr. Yukevich has achieved an impressive win rate, exceeding 90%, and has acted as regional and national coordinating counsel for Fortune 500 companies. His courtroom successes have been have been recognized among the Top 20 Defense Verdicts each year from 2009-2015, and 2017-2019.
