James Eischen, a distinguished legal professional, brings a wealth of
experience and a versatile background to the legal landscape. Before
establishing his high-end boutique business planning law practice, he
held significant roles at prominent law firms, leaving an indelible
mark in the field.
As the former leader of a healthcare
regulatory transaction group at a nationally respected law firm's
Irvine office, James oversaw intricate healthcare regulatory matters
with precision. Prior to that, he was a valued member of corporate,
healthcare, and real estate departments at a prominent San Diego law
firm.
In 2018, James's expertise shone brightly as he took
on the task of rewriting the California Medical Association (CMA)
physician legal desk book chapter on private direct medicine
compliance. His proficiency was further acknowledged when he was
invited to speak at a CMA conference for general counsel representing
various U.S. state medical boards and societies on the subject of
private medicine compliance.
In February 2019, James made
a deliberate move to resume his boutique law practice in San Diego,
embracing the flexibility that self-employment provides. A few months
later, in April 2019, he launched an innovative online learning
platform (www.loftylearning.com). This platform reflects his
commitment to creating new channels for learning, particularly in the
realm of creative health and wellness solutions. Currently, the
platform features a curated library of webinars, including
presentations by James and insightful interviews with thought
leaders, all centered around U.S. private direct medicine compliance
education.
Beyond his legal pursuits, James is an active
contributor to leadership roles within the San Diego County Bar
Association (SDCBA). He chairs the SDCBA Law & Medicine Section
and contributes to the development and delivery of educational
content for this section, as well as the SDCBA Attorney Wellness
Subcommittee. In 2022, he proudly graduated from the inaugural SDCBA
Leadership Academy and currently serves on the academy's
committee.
Having deep roots in San Diego, James Eischen
is deeply committed to his local community. He played a pivotal role
as the founding attorney coach for the Academy of Our Lady of Peace
(OLP) high school mock trial team, guiding them to two San Diego
County Championships and state finals. As a professional and
volunteer musician, he provides musical support to a Kundalini Yoga
studio in Point Loma, California. James is also an enthusiastic
surfer, stand-up paddler, boater, and motorcycle/bicycle enthusiast,
embodying a well-rounded and engaged presence in both his
professional and personal pursuits.
