James Joseph: Attorney with Jurewitz Law Group Injury & Accident Lawyers

Biography

James joined the Jurewitz Law Group in 2020 after working as a civil litigator for both large and small firms. Since passing the bar, he handles all aspects of a case from pre-litigation negotiations, client treatment, and trial. His work has secured multimillion-dollar settlements for his clients against well-funded corporations and insurance companies. Now, he focuses solely on getting justice and full compensation for his injured clients. In 2020, James was recognized by his fellow piers as a “Rising Star” in the legal community. This recognition is given to the top 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in the State of California that have practiced for less than ten years. James is also a Professor of Law at the University of San Diego Law School. He teaches trial preparation and advocacy skills. He trains select law students to compete in national mock trial tournaments each semester. While in law school, he clerked for Federal Magistrate Judges Hon. William V. Gallo and Hon. Jill L. Burkhardt. He was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board and traveled national for the Mock Trial Team. He won multiple awards for his oral advocacy skills, including the American College of Trial Lawyers Medal for Excellence in Advocacy.
