James M. Barrington

James M. Barrington is a Partner at Resnick & Louis’ Las Vegas office. Mr. Barrington is an experienced and determined litigator who has spent his career finding winning positions in seemingly defenseless cases. Mr. Barrington practices primarily in the area of complex, high exposure defense of corporations, businesses, and other entities. His practice includes general liability defense, first-part insurance defense, defense of insurance brokers and agents, premises liability, subrogation, and catastrophic injury.Mr. Barrington also has significant appellate experience and has handled several matters before the Nevada Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals with great results. Mr. Barrington has also had considerable success at the trial court level via dispositive motion practice, trial, arbitration and mediations. He is also well-respected for his oral advocacy and deposition technique and tactics.Mr. Barrington obtained his J.D. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his Bachelor’s degree in political science from Westminster College where he was a four-year member of the NCAA Division III Westminster soccer and tennis teams. He was also an active member of Phi Delta Theta.In his free time, Mr. Barrington enjoys devoting time to his wife and watching his two teenage sons also excel in competitive soccer.James is licensed to practice law in Nevada.
