Biography

Jim Callahan serves as “of counsel” to Shaheen & Gordon.

Jim has been practicing in New Hampshire and Massachusetts for more than 35 years, focusing on business & corporate, banking & finance, and real estate law. His wealth of knowledge is invaluable to clients as he advises them on planning, operational, and transactional matters, including leasing, land use and development, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations.

In addition to his legal experience, Jim holds an MBA with a finance concentration and brings these added skills to his practice. He has extensive experience negotiating, structuring and closing debt and equity financing transactions including commercial financings and secured transactions. In recent years Jim has developed a subspecialty in the purchase and sale of independently owned (RIA) financial advisory firms.

Jim was raised on Cape Cod but has called Peterborough home for more than three decades. He has served as Peterborough Town Counsel, Zoning Board Chair, and is currently the Board Chair of Monadnock Community Hospital.
