She was a Casenote Editor of the University of Hawaii Law Review and co-author of 'The Constitutionality of the Hawaii Liquor Tax Statute: Bacchus Imports, Ltd. v. Dias.'

Ms. Kutsunai also received an M.A. in History from the University of Hawaii and a B.A. with distinction in History from the University of Hawaii where she was Phi Beta Kappa.
