Jane Smedley Anzalone

Jane graduated in 1998 from King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, earning her degree in Biology with a concentration in molecular biology and a certificate in secondary education. During this time, she, along with the research team lead by James Slock, Ph.D., published her research entitled “A series of laboratory exercise utilizing luxR gene of Vibrio Fischeri and gfp gene of Aequoria Victoria to teach the broad applications of polymerase chain reaction,” co-authored with JA Slock, PM Farrugia, TA Horn, JA Phillips and MJ Romanko, in the Journal of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (2000). Thereafter, Jane graduated from The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2001.

Jane spent the first ten years of her practice clerking for the Honorable Robert A. Mazzoni in the Court of Common Pleas of Lackawanna County. Thereafter, she joined the law firm of Hourigan, Kluger & Quinn, P.C. in the commercial and estate division until leaving to head the Estate Department at Anzalone Law Offices, LLC. Jane has extensive experience in estate administration, estate planning, and guardianships, as well as commercial litigation, creditor rights and real estate.

Jane proudly completed her term as a member of the Rules of Evidence Committee for the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in 2023. She has consistently been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers honoree during her career. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Wilkes-Barre Law & Library Association.

Jane lives in Shavertown, Pennsylvania, with her husband, Bill, and her two sons.
