Biography

Jane Wesley Brooks, CFLS, is a San Diego family law attorney with extensive experience in divorce, child custody, child support, property division, paternity and family law.

As an experienced trial attorney, Jane Wesley Brooks, CFLS, knows the value, both financial and emotional, in avoiding litigation when possible, and she will seek resolution through settlement from the outset.

Exclusive Divorce and Family Law Practice

Jane Wesley Brooks believes that for legal solutions to be effective, clear communication is imperative, and the parties involved must take ownership of their role in the case. She not only educates her clients about the law behind divorce and other family law disputes, she also tailors legal solutions based on the personal needs of each client. Each parent or family member will feel empowered by the knowledge of their rights, roles and responsibilities.

The Importance of Working With a Certified Family Law Specialist
(CFLS)A Certified Family Law Specialist, or CFLS, is an attorney who has obtained certification in the standards of California family law and demonstrated optimal legal competence. Attorneys who obtain this certification have specific expertise in all aspects of family law, which includes divorce or the dissolution of marriage, child and spousal support, child custody, and temporary restraining orders, among other areas of emphasis.
Not every attorney practicing family law has obtained this certification. In fact, the designation remains relatively rare—there are fewer than 2,000 CFLS attorneys in California and fewer than 200 in San Diego.

When you work with JWB Family Law, you can rest assured that your personal family situation and concerns are being handled by a team that has the specialization and expertise you need to bring your issues to resolution.
