Jared T. Brankamp

Attorney Jared Brankamp is the owner and managing attorney at Burnside Brankamp Law. Jared grew up in Columbus, Ohio where he attended DeSales High School and The Ohio State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree. After attending Ohio State, Jared served in the United States Peace Corps in Isla Pa’ū, a remote village in Paraguay, South America.

As a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay, South America, Jared worked with two women’s committees; a committee to bring running water to the community; an agriculture committee; and as a federal grant recipient, built a school kitchen and eating area at the local school, where he taught. There, Jared found his calling to serve underdogs in need, but decided to attend law school in order to continue the pursuit of justice in his own community. That experience led Jared to Capital Law School where he was selected as a Marshall Brennan Constitutional Law Fellow, Moot Court Board Member, and Family and Youth Advocacy Fellow.

After law school, Jared started a law firm in Columbus, Ohio where he represented clients suffering injuries, not of their own fault. For his work, he was selected to the 2023 and 2024 Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars but decided to move to Portsmouth to manage Burnside Brankamp Law, in 2022, following the death of Jeremy Burnside, a close family friend. Today, Jared carries forward his pursuit of justice by working closely with each and every client, dedicated to finding the best possible outcome according to each client’s individual interests.
