Jason Burkhead, Esq.

Jason Burkhead brings over 20 years of experience as a law enforcement officer in the United States Air Force, where he investigated state and federal crimes and enforced state vehicle codes. Throughout his military career, he became certified in National Field Sobriety Tests, multiple breath-alcohol testing systems, RADAR, and other law enforcement tools used to gather evidence. He also served as both a criminal investigator and a major traffic collision investigator, skills that allow him to identify procedural defects and rights violations in police reports—crucial to defending clients against criminal charges. After transitioning from the military, Jason earned his law degree from California Western School of Law in San Diego. While initially gaining experience in civil litigation, he refocused on criminal law. As a veteran, Jason is particularly dedicated to assisting the San Diego veteran community and guiding eligible veterans into diversion programs. His background in law enforcement and his extensive network of investigators, experts, and attorneys allow him to thoroughly review evidence for errors, ensuring the best possible defense for his clients. In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and continuing to expand his legal knowledge.
