Biography

Jason D. May was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He graduated from North Central High School in 1992. He attended and graduated from Indiana University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. While there Jason played varsity football, under Coach Bill Mallory, was a letter winner as well as an alpha beta honorary.

In 1998 Jason began his legal career attending Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan. While at Cooley, Jason took part in many school activities including the school's moot court competition team, writing for the school newspaper and the law school's clinical internship program.

For his last semester in 2001, Jason was selected to intern with Theodore A. Krebsbach & Associates, P.C. a securities arbitration defense firm located in New York City. In May and July of that same year Jason graduated and passed the July administration of New York State Bar Exam respectively.

In January 2002 Jason began working at FINRA then known as the NASD. There he organized and conducted major investigations and enforcement actions against investment firms for varying sales practice and regulatory violations. Among them was the highly publicized enforcement action against the top 12 investment firms for their conflict of interest violations between their research and investment banking departments. This action resulted in the "Global Settlement" with these investment firms paying 1.4 billion dollars in fines. During his time at the NASD, Jason received the Above and Beyond Award and the President's Award from Mary Shapiro.

In April 2006, Jason resigned to form this law firm in New York City to directly help businesses and individuals with their legal matters. Two years later, he returned to Indianapolis, his hometown, to open an office right down the street from his high school.

Jason enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, a spirited political debate. He also is an avid fan and supporter of Indiana University, the New York Yankees, Indianapolis Colts, and Indiana Pacers.
