Biography

Jason R. Thomas joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in January 2026 and is a member of the Firm’s Land Use and Development, Real Estate, and Environmental Practice Groups.Professional/CommunityJason is a member of the New York State Bar Association and International Association of Privacy Professionals. Jason is also an avid volunteer in and around the City of Albany. Prior to joining WOH, he ran a small pro bono practice for individuals that recently came to America in need of legal assistance.EducationJason obtained his Juris Doctor from Albany Law School, where he worked as a research assistant for multiple professors, in the school's immigration law clinic, as an intern for the Center for Internet Security, among other positions. Jason graduated magna cum laude from Stony Brook University with his Bachelor of Arts in 2019. He went on to pursue his Master of Arts in 2019, while completing his bachelor's degree, at Stony Brook University. Before joining WOH, Jason was an Excelsior Fellow for the New York State Departmental of Financial Services - Health Bureau, and Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Albany.; Jason is also an avid hiker, photographer, musician, software developer.
