Jason Thomas Sandene is a seasoned personal injury and trial
attorney, dedicating his legal career to guiding and advocating for
injured clients as they navigate the complexities of the legal system
and the litigation process.
Jason's journey
into law was uniquely influenced by his experiences and a deep sense
of empathy. After the tragic events of September 11th, at the age of
17, he made a remarkable choice—to enlist in the U.S. Army. His
21st birthday was marked by service in Iraq, where he served as a
sergeant in a transportation battalion. Following his deployment,
Jason returned to his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, where he pursued
his education with the support of the G.I. Bill. It was here that he
resolved to attend law school and become an advocate for those who
have endured injuries through no fault of their own, inspired by
witnessing his own mother's struggle with pain and anxiety after a
back injury terminated her nursing career and restricted her active
lifestyle.
Upon completing
his legal education, Jason gained acceptance into the Iowa State Bar
but was swiftly drawn to Denver, a city he had come to love during a
visit that summer. He embraced an entry-level position at a
well-known personal injury law firm in Denver, embarking on a journey
that would span a decade. As an associate attorney, he honed his
skills while climbing the ranks in various Colorado law firms, both
large and small, all with a common focus—representing injured
individuals against insurance companies. This hands-on experience,
working with hundreds of clients, provided Jason with an invaluable
education in the intricacies of personal injury claims and allowed
him to master the facets of litigation that law school alone could
not teach. His tenure as an associate attorney also afforded him the
opportunity to observe what distinguished law firms did exceptionally
well and identify areas where he believed improvements could be made
to enhance the client experience and achieve superior outcomes.
Throughout his
legal career, Jason has earned a reputation as a fervent advocate for
his clients. He has demonstrated a willingness to take on even the
most challenging or modest cases, advocating for justice and pursuing
what is in the best interest of his clients, including taking cases
to trial when necessary. His tenacity has resulted in some of the
state's largest jury verdicts when insurance companies have failed to
provide fair settlements. His dedication to the cause has led to his
recognition as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Colorado for
representing plaintiffs in civil claims. Jason is an active member of
esteemed legal associations, including the Denver Bar Association,
Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Trial Lawyers Association, and the
Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys.
Outside the
courtroom, Jason relishes his free time with his beloved wife, Dana,
and their rescue pup, Lilly, embarking on new adventures and
exploring new places. When not immersed in legal work, he can often
be found in the mountains or participating in various sports, with
the exception of golf. Additionally, he remains a devoted fan of the
Nebraska Cornhuskers football team, steadfast through the highs and
lows.
