Jay L. Edelstein is a partner and co-founder of Edelstein Law, LLP. A Philadelphia native and third-generation attorney, he brings more than four decades of legal experience to representing individuals and families affected by serious injuries, sexual abuse, and wrongful death.
His practice includes personal injury litigation, sexual and institutional abuse, motor vehicle accidents, school bullying, Title IX matters, premises liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries. His work focuses on helping clients understand their legal options and pursue accountability for the harm they have experienced.
Education and Admissions
Jay earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Jefferson College in 1976 and his Juris Doctor from Widener University’s Delaware Law School in 1979.
He was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania in 1979 and New Jersey in 1991. His federal court admissions include:
