Jean Strickland

Jean Strickland is originally from Melrose Park, Illinois. After graduating from the University of Illinois in Chicago with a degree in Economics, she moved with her husband to Jupiter, Florida.

Following a successful career in banking, Jean fulfilled her long-standing dream and acquired a law degree from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, Jean was able to draw on her banking experience representing clients of the school's Investor Rights Clinic as they pursued claims through the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's arbitration process. Jean additionally worked as a legal intern with the Securities and Exchange Commission in their investigations division evaluating alleged breaches of securities laws. Furthering her education in litigation, Jean had the opportunity to intern with the Honorable William C. Turnoff in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

Jean started her legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Barry S. Seltzer in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Before joining the firm, Jean was further privileged to serve in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jared M. Strauss and to the Honorable Shaniek M. Maynard.

Outside of work, Jean enjoys attending live music events where her husband plays bass guitar as part of a band, reading books as part of a book club and traveling with family and friends.
