Biography

Jeff L. Bean is a Partner in the Modesto office of Borton Petrini, LLP. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1985 and his Masters of Business Administration from Golden Gate University in 1987.

Jeff went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from Humphrey’s Law School in 1992, and he specializes in business law, condemnation law, estate planning, probate law, conservatorships, and contract law.

Before joining the Firm, Jeff worked for the University of California, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory administering and negotiating multiple high-level contracts in support of the Department of Energy interests. Jeff was also assigned to draft policies and procedures for UCLLNL to comply with the ever changing requirements of the Department of Energy and the University.

As an attorney, Jeff has handled personal injury, trusts and probate, civil contract, business law, construction defect, and family law cases. Jeff has represented various public entities throughout Central California defending cases through trial and appeals. Various cities represented include the cities of Riverbank, Oakdale, Lathrop, Patterson, Atwater, Turlock, and Livingston.

As a Modesto lawyer at Borton Petrini, LLP, Jeff uses his extensive legal knowledge to assist clients in all facets of estate administration, business and transactional law, contract law, condemnation actions, probate, and conservatorships.

Jeff serves on the board for the Stanislaus County Bar Association, where he was also the President. Jeff is an active member of the Stanislaus County Estate Planning Counsel. Jeff is active in his community in Tracy, California, where he has lived with his family for 30 years. He is an active participant in the Boy Scouts of America and also a member of the Brigham Young University Alumni Association.

Jeff Bean is married to Jill Bean, and has five children, Jeff, Christopher, Brittney, Annelise, and Nicholas.
