For Jeffrey G. Holcomb, the path to becoming an attorney was
ingrained in his very roots. A natural progression, influenced by the legacy of
his late father, John F. Holcomb, who served as the Butler County Prosecutor
for over three decades. The legal realm was destined for Jeffrey, who, during
his law school journey, honed his skills as a law clerk under a judge in the
Butler County Court of Common Pleas. This early experience paved the way for
his entry into the family law firm.
Jeff's maiden venture into divorce cases marked a significant turning point. He
found himself pitted against John Garretson, a prominent divorce attorney.
Jeff's legal prowess left an indelible mark on Garretson, who recognized his
potential and subsequently welcomed him into his fold. For years, Jeff enriched
his expertise while working alongside Mr. Garretson, amassing invaluable
experience in handling numerous divorce, dissolution, post-decree, and custody
cases. This journey culminated in 2001 when Jeff ascended to a partnership,
leading to the transformation of the firm into Garretson & Holcomb, LLC.
While his legal repertoire spans various domains, Jeff's primary focus resides
in domestic relations cases. He is admitted to practice before the U.S.
District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and his affiliations
encompass memberships in the Butler County, Ohio State, and American Bar
Associations.
Jeff's contributions transcend the legal arena, earning him a place in Who’s
Who Worldwide. A graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law and Xavier
University, Jeff's collegiate baseball background at Xavier instilled in him
the values of diligence and preparation – attributes that seamlessly
transitioned into his legal practice. A diverse clientele, ranging from
thriving small business proprietors to professionals and their spouses, bear
witness to Jeff's prowess as a representative.
In July 2017, Jeff's journey reached a milestone as he assumed sole ownership
of Garretson and Holcomb, LLC, a testament to his unwavering dedication,
tenacity, and vision.
