Biography

Jeffrey O. Musto - A Compassionate Advocate for Social Justice

Jeffrey O. Musto is a dedicated attorney committed to representing his clients with compassion and utilizing the law to champion social justice causes. Before establishing himself in the Pacific Northwest, Jeff made a significant impact as an advocate and spokesperson for Ralph Nader in Washington, D.C. During his time there, he actively participated in various national campaigns aimed at raising the minimum wage, holding corporations accountable for misconduct, promoting transparency in government spending, and opposing the privatization of public assets. Jeff's impactful contributions included drafting federal legislation, crafting op-eds published in national media outlets, lobbying Senators and Congressmen, and engaging in Postal Regulatory Commission hearings to safeguard the U.S. Postal Service from detrimental changes.

Upon moving to Washington state, Jeff channeled his passion into a diverse array of cases. He has worked diligently to protect the rights of underpaid farmworkers, prevent companies from engaging in product mislabeling, hold businesses accountable for discriminatory practices, seek justice for wrongfully convicted individuals, and advocate for reduced air pollution in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Additionally, Jeff remains dedicated to safeguarding Washington consumers from deceptive business practices and ensuring appropriate compensation for those who have suffered wrongful injuries.

Jeff's academic journey began at the University of Pennsylvania, where he double-majored in Political Science and Psychology. His affection for the Pacific Northwest, nurtured through childhood trips to the region, prompted him to relocate to Seattle and pursue a legal education at the University of Washington School of Law. Graduating with honors, Jeff's commitment to public service was evident as a Managing Editor of the Washington Law Review and a member of the UW Pro Bono Honors Society, contributing significantly to UW's Innocence Project Northwest Clinic.

Outside of his legal endeavors, Jeff finds joy in sharing life's journey with his wife, Meg, in Seattle. Together, they savor the pleasure of traveling and hiking, exploring the beauty of the region. Another passion that has endured throughout his life is ice hockey, as Jeff is an avid player and an enthusiastic supporter of the New York Rangers. Eagerly anticipating the return of ice hockey to Seattle, he looks forward to embracing the sport's spirit in the local community.

Jeffrey O. Musto is an active member of several professional associations, including the American Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, Washington State Association for Justice, King County Bar Association, and Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association. Through his unwavering dedication to social justice and his compassionate approach to legal representation, Jeff continues to be a driving force in advocating for positive change within the legal realm and the broader community.
