Jeffrey William Johnson

Jeffrey W. Johnson is the founder of the Johnson Law Group. Mr. Johnson is rated AV by Martindale. He is President Elect of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association (FDLA) and a Board of Director of the International Amusement and Leisure Defense Association (IALDA).

He has extensive litigation and jury trial experience in the areas of general tort liability. He has defended actions involving wrongful death, personal injury, premises liability, product liability, auto and commercial transportation liability, and construction defect related claims since 1987. Mr. Johnson’s experience includes jury trials for the amusement industry, restaurant and retail industry, and auto and commercial transportation industry.

Mr. Johnson is admitted to practice before The Florida Bar. He is an active member of the Defense Research Institute (DRI); Council for Litigation Management (CLM); International Association of Amusement and Parks and Attractions (IAAPA); Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA), and the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA); the Housing Authorities Insurance Group (HAI); the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Broward County Bar Association. He has spoken at conferences throughout the United States. He currently represents one of the largest privately owned amusement company in the United States in their litigation throughout the State of Florida.

He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University and his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law. He is admitted to practice in all trial and appellate courts in the State of Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court (Southern District of Florida).

Mr. Johnson was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1961, and has been a resident of Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida since 1969. He is married to the former Elizabeth Furr of Norfolk, Virginia, and he has three children, Kimberly Elizabeth, Matthew William and Thomas William Johnson.
