Biography

Jenifer Dana Kaufman brings a practical, hard-working approach to workers’ compensation law. Raised by working parents who valued earning your own way, she began working at 13 and held jobs through high school, college and law school—from retail and supermarket cashiering to work-study positions—learning early that a strong work ethic is the key to independence. After earning a B.A. from George Washington University (1994) and a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (1997), she worked for a solo plaintiff attorney and discovered her focus on workers’ compensation. Since 2000 she has represented both employers and injured workers and opened her own firm in 2018 to offer injured workers more personal, straightforward advocacy. Jenifer has been a certified workers’ compensation specialist since 2013 (recertified 2018), has held an AV Preeminent peer rating since 2014, was named a Fellow of the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers in 2024, is licensed in Pennsylvania, and is active in local workers’ compensation sections and the Philadelphia Bar’s Marijuana & Hemp Law Committee.
