Biography

Jenna is an associate in our Mass Tort/Toxic Tort, Products Liability, and Safey, Toxic Tort & Environmental practice groups.Prior to joining Meagher + Geer, Jenna was an Associate Attorney at a Chicago law firm, where her responsibilities included drafting client reports, settlement recommendations, and updates on independent medical and vocational assessments. She managed discovery processes efficiently and prepared and responded to requests for production, admissions, and interrogatories, in addition to drafting motions for summary decision. Jenna also brings expertise in drafting mediation briefs, taking and defending depositions, presenting oral arguments at informal conferences, and preparing settlement agreements for submission to the Department of Labor.Jenna previously served as Assistant Attorney General (AAG) in the Workers’ Compensation division at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. In this role, she handled a significant caseload of complex workers’ compensation matters throughout Cook County, Wheaton, and Elgin, conducted trials, and prepared briefs and statements for the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Arbitrators. She routinely facilitated pre-trial conferences, drafted detailed client memoranda outlining claim facts and settlement recommendations, and skillfully navigated Illinois labor law.Her background also includes a clerkship with the Illinois Attorney General’s Special Litigation Bureau, where she performed legal research and wrote memoranda on issues including the Equal Rights Amendment, False Claims Act, and Prevailing Wage Act. Additionally, she took part in client interviews related to litigation involving the Attorney General’s Office.Throughout her career, Jenna has shown a strong commitment to legal advocacy, meticulous research, and dedicated client service. Her broad experience in both government and private practice has provided her with a thorough understanding of legal procedures and a proven record of managing complex cases with professionalism and integrity.Jenna holds a J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she served as Secretary of the Intellectual Property Law Society and was active in the Student Bar Association, the International Business and Trade Law Society, and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society.She earned her B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago, where she joined the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority. While at Loyola, she was also involved in the Pre-Law Society, Body Image & ED Awareness (BIEDA), and played on the Intramural Basketball Team.When she’s not working, Jenna enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially her dog Snoopy, as well as traveling and exploring Chicago.
