Jenna Lew Ewing

Jenna focuses her practice on the defense of professional liability actions, with a special focus on medical malpractice. She also engages in the practice of casualty/tort litigation as well as long term care/nursing home litigation. Jenna defends physicians, clinics, hospitals, and other healthcare providers who are sued by their patients under the theories of medical malpractice, informed consent, res ipsa loquitor , and vicarious liability. She also defends businesses and individuals in personal injury matters involving complex medical issues. Jenna joined Heyl Royster in 2017 after spending more than three years representing plaintiffs in a civil litigation practice. She is an active member of the Winnebago County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. She also serves as an Arbitrator for the State of Illinois 17thJudicial Circuit. Jenna received her J.D., cum laude , from Northern Illinois University College of Law, where she served as a Research Assistant to Professor Emeritus Jeffrey Parness.
