Biography

Jenna McDonald Nichols is a native Memphian and third generation lawyer. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. While at Ole Miss, Mrs. Nichols was inducted into the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society and the Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. In 2014, Mrs. Nichols earned her law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. She served as a member of Phi Alpha Delta and the Public Action Law Society, and she was recognized with the Dean’s Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award in 2012. Mrs. Nichols also served in the University of Memphis Child & Family Litigation Clinic, where she was appointed as Guardian ad Litem to represent the best interests of children in juvenile dependency and neglect proceedings.

Mrs. Nichols is active in the local legal community as a current member of the Memphis Bar Association and the Memphis Collaborative Alliance. Additionally, Mrs. Nichols served as President of the Association for Women Attorneys in 2021 and was a Barrister member of the Memphis ADR Inn of Court for the 2022-2023 year.

Mrs. Nichols is experienced in the areas of divorce and separation, child custody, child support, juvenile law, paternity/parentage, adoption, estate planning, and healthcare litigation. Mrs. Nichols is also specially trained in collaborate divorce and she is a strong advocate for mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods.
