Jennifer M. Simmons

Jennifer M. Simmons grew up in Flossmoor, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for two years and later graduated from Frostburg State University, in Frostburg, Maryland. From there, Jennifer moved to Lexington, Virginia, to attend Washington & Lee University School of Law.

Upon graduating from W&L Law in 1996, Jennifer spent several years representing criminal defendants for the Public Defender's Office in Danville, Virginia, and later handled criminal and family law cases as an associate attorney with the Law Office of M.R. "Chip" Reamy, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

For the next nearly 25 years, Jennifer worked for herself at the Law Offices of Jennifer M. Simmons, PLC. As her practice grew, associate attorneys Victoria Young and Teresa Pagliaro, were brought on board in 2015 and 2021, respectively.

Jennifer primarily handles family law matters, such as adoption, divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, protective orders, property settlement agreements, prenuptial agreements, and post-divorce disputes, among other areas. She practices within the greater Fredericksburg area, to include the Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline counties.

Kenneth N. Hodge partnered with Jennifer in June of 2023 and the firm changed its name to Simmons and Hodge, PLC. The firm continues to focus on criminal and family law matters.
