Jeremy joined MSK at its inception in March 2004 and became
a member of the firm in January 2007. Jeremy’s practice focuses on commercial
real estate law, in which he represents developers, property owners and
municipalities in the acquisition, financing, permitting, development,
management, leasing and sale of a wide variety of commercial, residential,
hotel, resort and office properties. Jeremy’s practice additionally includes
general commercial transactional law, including entity formation and
management, secured financings, and mergers and acquisitions. He also works
with individuals and businesses to obtain state and municipal land use permits,
and represents property owners in the establishment and management of
condominiums and common interest communities. Jeremy concentrates an aspect of
his practice on representing telecommunications companies in their network
development operations, including negotiating leases for the use of land,
towers and building rooftops for the purpose of siting telecommunications
facilities.
Jeremy was an associate with Ropes & Gray in Boston, and
was associated with another Burlington law firm, prior to joining MSK.
Representative
Engagements
- Represented a developer in the development of a
$34,000,000 hotel project in downtown Burlington that utilized multiple
financing sources, including New Market Tax Credits and State and Federal
Historic Tax Credits.
- Represented a ski resort in connection with its
business operations, and subsequently in connection with the sale of its
assets.
- Represented a telecommunications carrier in
connection with its acquisition and permitting of hundreds of
telecommunications facilities throughout Vermont.
- Represented an equipment dealer in connection with
its business operations, and subsequently in connection with the sale of its
assets
- Represented a municipality in connection with its
support of a developer’s redevelopment of a city block with a $200,000,000
mixed-use retail, residential and office complex, including the negotiation of
a development agreement.
- Represented a municipality in connection with a
multi-block downtown redevelopment effort through a series of public-private
development agreements, leases and land sales.
- Represented a developer in connection with its acquisition,
development, financing and leasing of numerous multi-family housing projects.
