Biography

As founder and managing attorney of The Journey Law Group, P.C., Attorney Jeri Milan blends personal experience with a career devoted to immigration law and advocacy. After earning her degrees from SUNY Empire State College and CUNY Law, she was inspired by her father’s advocacy for Filipino migrant workers to dedicate her own work to immigrant rights. Jeri has been nationally recognized for her legal writing and has handled significant cases and projects concerning constitutional and human rights. Her career includes clerkships with federal and state judges, an internship at the U.S. Department of Labor, and teaching organizational ethics as an adjunct professor. She also shares her knowledge with the legal community, speaking at the 2024 Pacific Union Adventist Attorneys Association Conference in Burbank, CA, where she presented a Primer on Asylum Law and also at the 2025 Church State Council's CLE Webinar in California on Asylum Law. Known for her thoughtful leadership, sharp legal skill, and compassion, Jeri continues to pursue meaningful outcomes for immigrant communities.
