Biography

Jerome Paun has been practicing law since 1980, beginning his career as a labor lawyer representing unions and their members in employment matters. In the late 1990s, he expanded his practice to include criminal defense at the request of union members, eventually focusing solely on defending clients against Connecticut criminal charges, DUI and motor vehicle offenses, and juvenile delinquency cases. As a solo practitioner, he takes pride in personally representing each of his clients with dedication and care. Jerome has been recognized among the top 100 Connecticut criminal defense attorneys by the American Society of Legal Advocates and The National Trial Lawyers since 2014. He has earned a "Superb" 10.0 rating on Avvo.com and received their "Clients' Choice" awards annually since 2013.

Jerome believes in the importance of defending constitutional rights to protect individual freedoms and prevent government overreach. Drawing on decades of experience, he employs effective negotiation strategies and, when necessary, vigorously defends his clients in court. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in political science from the State University College at Brockport and a Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo Law School, where he honed his litigation skills on the Moot Court Board.
