Biography

Jessica Beauvais is an associate in the New York City office. She currently concentrates her practice in the area of construction/labor law, premises liability and complex torts. She engages in various phases of litigation including fact investigation, depositions, motion practice and all aspects of trial work. Jessica also has experience defending an internationally known manufacturer of elevators and escalators against premises liability and personal injury claims for negligent maintenance and repairs, device malfunctions and latent defects.

Ms. Beauvais obtained Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy from Fordham University. She received a Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law. She is admitted to the bar at the New York Second Judicial Department, New York Eastern District, New York Southern District and the United States Supreme Court. She was a recipient of award for outstanding work and dedication to pro bono service from the New York Lawyers’ Association in 2013. Ms. Beauvais has been named as a Top 100 Black Lawyers from The National Black Lawyers for the Year 2020.

Ms. Beauvais is an avid long-distance runner and has completed various marathons both domestically and abroad. She holds membership with the New York Road Runners and National Black Marathoners Association. She was inducted to the Marathon Maniacs Club for completing 3 marathons in less than 90 days and is embarking to complete a marathon in the 50 states and 7 continents.
