Biography

Jessica Ramsawak is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where she defends medical professionals and health care organizations in a variety of medical malpractice matters.

Prior to becoming an Associate, Jessica served as one of the Firm’s Law Clerks, where she prepared legal documents, conducted research, and compiled case materials for MCB’s attorneys. Earlier in her career, Jessica was a paralegal at another New York firm. In that role, she researched complex medical malpractice issues, evaluated related defense strategies, drafted legal documents such as motions and briefs, and attended trials and hearings. These roles have equipped Jessica with a practical, in-depth understanding of all phases of medical malpractice litigation.

Jessica received her B.A., magna cum laude, from the State University of New York at Albany in 2020. During her attendance, she made Dean’s List, was an Honors College Graduate, and received the Spellman Academic Achievement Award. She also served as President of the Albany State Indian Alliance. She earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2024, receiving the Nassau County Women’s Bar Foundation Scholarship as well as the Marsha Garrison Family Law & Policy Fellowship. Additionally, she served as President of the South Asian Law Students Association. Jessica is admitted to practice in New York.
