Biography

Jessica Pamela Pinto, an Associate in the firm's Miami office, handles cases in the areas of premise liability, product liability, personal injury/wrongful death litigation, indemnification claims, insurance defense litigation, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Pinto received her Associates of Science, summa cum laude, in Legal Studies from Norwalk Community College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Building on this foundation, Ms. Pinto then received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Legal Studies with a minor in Psychology from Quinnipiac University. During her time at Quinnipiac, Ms. Pinto was awarded the prestigious Legal Studies Book Award for achieving the highest GPA in her class and was inducted into the Lambda Epsilon Chi, a national honor society for paralegals and legal studies. After gaining valuable experience as a Paralegal in Connecticut, Ms. Pinto pursued her Juris Doctor at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. During her time in law school, Ms. Pinto served as the President for Phi Alpha Delta Adams Chapter Law Fraternity, a Notes and Comment Editor for the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equity, and an active member of various legal societies.

Prior to Cole, Scott & Kissane, Ms. Pinto developed extensive and diverse practical experience by beginning her legal career handling real estate transactions and probate matters as a Legal Assistant in Connecticut. This experience was complemented by Ms. Pinto's internship at the Connecticut Attorney General's Office where she handled administrative appeals from Connecticut transportation agencies. As a Paralegal, Ms. Pinto worked closely with a sole practitioner on a multi-million dollar breach of contract case, meticulously analyzing hundreds of thousands of discovery records to help secure the best possible outcome for their client. At the same time, she also worked directly with clients to create comprehensive employee handbooks tailored to meet the specific needs of their businesses.

During law school, Ms. Pinto clerked for distinguished judges in Miami-Dade County, FL and Jackson County, IN and interned at the Monroe County Prosecutor’s Office. Additionally, she worked for boutique law firms in Miami and Coral Gables, FL, where she honed her skills in contract disputes, employment discrimination, and wrongful death matters. Prior to her employment at the firm, Ms. Pinto worked as a Summer Law Clerk evaluating liability in nursing home matters and drafting pretrial motions regarding discovery disputes.
