Jinah Kim

Jinah Kim joined Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP in November 2023. Ms. Kim was previously a summer associate with the Firm.

Ms. Kim is admitted to practice in New York State and is a member of the New York State Bar Association.

Professional/Community

Ms. Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors at Sunhee’s Community Place, a non-profit organization Ms. Kim co-founded in 2018. She is also a former Board Member of Samaritan Hospital/the Eddy Foundation and the Troy Business Improvement District. She was named one of the Capital Region’s “40 under 40”, “Women on the Rise” and “Power 50” by the Albany Business Review.

Background/Education

Ms. Kim graduated summa cum laude from Albany Law School of Union University with her Juris Doctor in 2023. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Boston College. During law school, Ms. Kim was a member of the Albany Law Review and served as a judicial intern at the New York State Supreme Court. Ms. Kim also worked as a legal intern with The Legal Project and Albany Law Justice Center’s Immigration Law Clinic.

Prior to her legal career, Ms. Kim worked in direct services for refugees and immigrants at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Albany and Catholics Charities Community Services in New York City. In 2016, she started her own restaurant and business, which strives to provide English classes and employment opportunities for immigrants in the Capital Region. A native of the Capital Region, Ms. Kim currently lives in Troy with her spouse and two children.
