John A. Markus

John Markus joined Leeseberg Tuttle in October 2015 and has built a strong reputation as a rising trial attorney. He focuses his practice on medical malpractice and catastrophic personal injury cases, and he has recovered several million dollars for clients through both verdicts and settlements. John handles matters throughout Ohio, trying cases in courts ranging from Gallia County in the south to Lucas County in the north, and many jurisdictions in between. Clients and colleagues alike know him for his compassionate approach, clear communication, and steady professionalism. John earned his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he pursued hands-on litigation training and competed on Trial Practice and Moot Court teams. He received a University Award for helping advance the moot court program’s national reputation and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers for excellence in advocacy. During law school, he clerked for Judge Ethna M. Cooper in the Hamilton County Court of Common Pleas and worked with the Ohio Innocence Project, contributing to the exoneration of Ricky Jackson. John graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University and, outside work, enjoys time with his wife and children in Hilliard.
