John A. Rubis

John brings more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry, beginning his career as an insurance adjuster for a major U.S. casualty insurer, where he spent nearly 10 years managing complex claims. After earning his juris doctor, he transitioned to private practice with a well-regarded insurance defense firm, where he concentrated on matters involving automobile liability, premises liability, commercial liability, and insurance coverage—areas he continues to focus on in his current practice.

Throughout his career, John has built a reputation for a results-driven approach to litigation, having taken more than 20 cases to trial. He has also worked closely with Special Investigations Units (SIU) to support and enhance the fraud investigation capabilities of several leading insurers.

John is deeply committed to delivering value to his clients. He collaborates closely with insurance professionals to streamline litigation strategy and adapt to each case’s unique demands—whether through early resolution, motion practice, or trial. His client-first mindset informs every step of his legal practice.

John earned his juris doctor from the University of Akron School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Communications, cum laude, from Ohio University. He is admitted to practice in the state of Ohio.
