Biography

John is a partner in the firm’s Memphis office. John’s practice is primarily devoted to litigation. He is involved in the defense of claims filed against Class I railroads, including Federal Employers’ Liability Act (FELA)/occupational exposure, grade crossing, and trespasser cases. John also practices in the areas of premises liability, trucking defense, employment defense, general insurance defense/coverage, and general civil matters. He particularly enjoys litigation because it gives him the ability to be creative in making novel, compelling arguments in service of his clients.

While in law school, John served as an associate editor of the Mississippi College Law Review. John lives in Collierville, Tennessee, with his wife, who also practices law, three children, and one dog Lucy. When he is not practicing law, John enjoys spending time with his family, listening to live music, and attempting to cook the perfect pork shoulder.
