With nearly 30 years of courtroom experience, John C. Robinson is a multi-faceted litigator licensed in Kentucky and Indiana who has excelled as a private advocate, a state prosecutor, and a corporate defense insider.
John’s career is defined by high-stakes results. In his personal injury practice, he leverages his early background in insurance defense to anticipate his opponents' tactics—a strategy that has yielded multiple wrongful death resolutions, a seven-figure structured settlement against a regional healthcare provider, and individual accident settlements or verdicts of $2,810.000, $2,720,000.00, $1,100,000.00, and numerous additional settlements exceeding $500,00.00.
John's tireless advocacy is perhaps best demonstrated by a unanimous decision by the Kentucky Supreme Court in his client's favor in the case of Majestic Oaks Homeowners Association v. Majestic Oaks Farms (2014-CA-000492). In that case, Robinson's client prevailed after an unfavorable ruling at the trial court and a 0-3 ruling at Kentucky's Court of Appeals. Undaunted, Robinson and his client established Kentucky's law pertaining to defeasible easements, while completely overcoming a developer's counterclaims seeking $12,000,000.00 in damages.
Equal parts versatile and tenacious, John has successfully guided clients through more than 2,000 consumer bankruptcy filings, using his extensive commercial litigation background to fiercely counter predatory creditors. His trial sharp-shooting was further proven during his tenure as an assistant state’s prosecutor in Shelby County, where he achieved the highest DUI conviction rate among all 120 Kentucky counties between 2004 and 2008.
A Transylvania University economics graduate and University of Kentucky College of Law alumnus, John is certified in the U.S. District Courts across both KY and IN. He proudly serves his community both legally and personally as a father of two. He is also an avid hiker, naturalist, and travel enthusiast.
