Biography

John Sayre is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in Ohio's state and federal trial and appellate courts. He has handled a wide range of cases, including commercial, business entity, real estate, Uniform Commercial Code, construction, divorce, and bankruptcy matters.

In addition to his litigation practice, John has significant expertise in domestic relations and family law. He is a trustee and former president of the Center for Principled Family Advocacy and possesses specialized training in collaborative practice, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution processes. John is dedicated to helping families maintain dignity after divorce and has experience handling gestational surrogacy for donor parents.

John also specializes in international child abduction cases under the Hague Convention on Civil Aspects of Child Abduction. He recently served as counsel for the prevailing party in the landmark United States Supreme Court case Monasky v. Taglieri, 140 S.Ct. 719 (2020).
