John E. Gagliardi

After years of working on the defense side, John Gagliardi joined the Luvera Law Firm in January of 2010 to represent injured people, rather than insurance companies. He continues to focus his work as a litigator in medical malpractice and other significant personal injury cases.

Gagliardi began his legal career as an associate at Williams, Kastner & Gibbs in 1994. He then worked both as an associate and partner at Fain Sheldon Anderson & VanDerhoef, PLLC, doing primarily medical malpractice litigation and representing health care providers in various forums. In 2002, he was recognized as the “Outstanding Litigation Associate” by the Washington Defense Trial Lawyers organization. For several years, Gagliardi was selected as a “Rising Star” by the Washington Law and Politics journal.

John was born and raised in Spokane, Washington. He went to high school at Gonzaga Preparatory School in Spokane, graduating as a National Merit Finalist and one of the valedictorians of his class. He then attended the University of Washington, graduating magna cum laude with a B.A. in Business Administration. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of Washington School of Law, graduating in 1994. He was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Washington Law Review and published “Back To The Future: Federal Mail and Wire Fraud Under 18 U.S.C. § 1345” in the Washington Law Review.

Gagliardi is a member of the Washington State Bar Association, King County Bar Association, and the Washington Association for Justice. He currently lives in Bothell, Washington with his wife and three children.
