Biography

John Schemitsch has ten years of experience in all facets of civil litigation from inception to trial, having handled varied matters including workers' compensation defense, personal injury actions, and complex class action cases. <p>Prior to joining London Fischer, John worked at the New York City Office of Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation, litigating civil rights actions filed against the City of New York and its employees and regularly appearing before the Southern and Eastern District, and the Workers' Compensation Division, defending claims filed against the City of New York. John has been lead counsel on several Federal jury trials in EDNY and SDNY.<p>When he is not immersed in the practice of law, John enjoys exploring new hobbies and interests, from competitive axe throwing to learning how to DJ.
