Biography

John J. Jacko, III represents clients in the areas of business and commercial litigation, banking and creditor’s rights law, and consultant negligence.

John is well-versed in a wide range of employment litigation matters encompassing confidentiality and non-competition agreements, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

On the banking and creditors’ rights side, John has represented various creditors, franchisors, manufacturers, and Phase I Environmental Site Assessment consultants, as both plaintiff and defense counsel in intellectual property, RICO, asset recovery, and sophisticated commercial landlord/tenant disputes. On behalf of franchisors and corporate clients, he has successfully litigated issues involving Lanham Act trademark infringement and false advertising claims, copyright infringement, and unfair competition. John has defended and prosecuted negligence claims involving Phase I Environmental Site Assessment consultants and dealt with matters concerning restrictive covenant enforcement, franchise encroachment, and the Truth-in-Lending-Act.
