He can help represent clients throughout Tulsa County, OK, and the surrounding areas from the firm’s Tulsa, Oklahoma family law office.John attended the University of Tulsa College of Law where he obtained his Juris Doctor in December 2017. Prior to earning his law degree, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in December 2014, majoring in Liberal Studies and minoring in Political Science, History, and American Studies. John is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association, American Bar Association, Cherokee Nation Bar Association, and is also admitted to practice law in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma.Before joining the family law and divorce lawyers at Stange Law Firm in Tulsa, John most recently served as a Contract Attorney for the City of Tulsa Municipal Public Defender, where he represented indigent defendants and developed the office’s McGirt Motion template, including the selection of attachments. Since May 2018, he has also maintained a solo practice in Tulsa, successfully securing the dismissal of a juvenile case on UCCJEA subject-matter grounds and representing an appellee in the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals. In 2017, he externed with the Federal Public Defender’s Office in Tulsa, drafting motions, conducting appellate research, and preparing memoranda. As part of the Lobeck-Taylor Community Advocacy Clinic, he co-authored a policy review on criminal court cost reforms and gained hands-on experience in client advocacy and policy work.Before practicing law, John served in the United States Army from 1998 to 2012, where he managed administrative tasks for personnel, resolved pay and record issues, and supported Brigade-level operations with mapping and battle-tracking.Note: The choice of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements.
