Biography

John Lewis, special counsel in the firm’s Nashville office, has a general corporate practice with specialization in the franchise and distribution areas. Mr. Lewis has a large number of restaurant and restaurant related clients, and most of them are franchises in national franchise systems. In addition, Mr. Lewis represents franchise trade, purchasing and marketing associations. Mr. Lewis also does a large number of business sales or purchases principally involving his restaurant clients. This includes related to real estate and financing issues involved in the transactions.

Mr. Lewis has been an Instructor in Contracts at the Nashville School of Law since 1986, and he is a former Davidson County, Tennessee Circuit Judge. Mr. Lewis served as Editor for Georgetown Law Journal.
