Biography

John was born in Houston, Texas in 1959. After graduating from Conroe High School, John attended Texas A&M University, where he earned a B.B.A. After graduating from A&M, John went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. He has been licensed to practice law in the state of Texas since 1984. He is also licensed in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas. John is a current member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, Texas Bar Foundation – Life Fellow, Defense Research Institute, Texas Association of Defense Counsel, and is Vice President of the American Board of Trial Advocates; The Huntsville, Conroe, and Woodlands Chapter. John is a Life Member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, and a Life Member of the Montgomery County Fair Association, where he has served as President and is currently on the Lifetime Executive Board. John is Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law and Civil Trial Law. John is no stranger to the courtroom, as he has tried over 400 jury trials in his career. He has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine, and was awarded “Houston’s Best Lawyer” by H Texas Magazine. John is also a member of Who’s Who in American Law. John is highly experienced in civil litigation, personal injury law, insurance defense law, extra contractual insurance claims, fire loss, bad faith insurance practices, and trucking law. When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, fishing, volunteering in the community, and being outdoors.
