John Michael Myers

John Michael Myers brings years of litigation and family law experience to clients who need clear guidance during difficult transitions. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, he graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University’s Honors Program with a B.A. in History and Political Science. He earned his J.D. from Washington & Lee University and interned with the City of Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office while in law school. John Michael later joined Pepper Hamilton, LLP’s commercial litigation group in Philadelphia, and in 2009 he was named to Pennsylvania’s First Judicial District Pro Bono Roll of Honor for exemplary civil rights litigation work. He practiced in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey before relocating to Montana, where he built a solo practice centered on family law. In 2016, he moved to Bend to be closer to family and has continued representing clients in divorce, custody and parenting time modifications, division of property and real estate, complex business interests, restraining orders, and agreements such as prenups and postnups, as well as issues involving retirement funds. When he’s not in the office, John Michael enjoys hiking, snowboarding, fishing, and exploring Central Oregon, along with writing fiction, playing chess, and cooking at home.
