Jack Ulrich, Jr. is an attorney practicing in Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C.'s Detroit office. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1995) and the Ross School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan (B.B.A. with distinction, 1993). Mr. Ulrich's corporate practice focuses on export regulatory compliance, government contracting, structured finance, syndicated credit facilities, and mergers and acquisitions.

As a member of Kotz Sangster Wysocki P.C.'s Defense/Government Contracting and Regulatory Compliance Practice Group, Mr. Ulrich offers the firm's clients substantial expertise in the government contracting process, from the request for quotation to post-bid debriefing to contract fulfillment to Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense FAR Supplement compliance. He places special emphasis on foreign military sales and contracting with the Department of Defense, as well as assisting clients in satisfying the requirements of small business economic programs, such as service-disabled veteran-owned, HUB Zone and 8(a) entities. Mr. Ulrich also assists the firm's clients with establishing export compliance regimes, as well as compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), anti-boycott regulations, Office of Foreign Asset Control regulations, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms regulations and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. He serves as outside general counsel for an exporter of significant military equipment.

As a member of the firm's Lending and Finance Practice Group, Mr. Ulrich specializes in assisting lenders and borrowers in the area of structured finance, such as the origination of loans for the commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) market, including retail, office, hospitality, multi-family, and mixed-use properties and tenancy-in-common (TIC) transactions, as well as asset backed securitizations, real estate backed securitizations, and leveraged leases. He also advises financial institutions and closely held, entrepreneurial companies with aircraft financing, accounts receivable financing, acquisition financing, asset-based financing, construction lending, commercial real estate financing, mezzanine financing (including attached warrants), subordinate debt financing, equipment leasing, letters of credit, loan syndications, mortgage banking, project financing, sales-leaseback transactions, secured commercial financing, synthetic lease transactions, unsecured commercial financing, and watercraft/vessel financing.

As a member of the firm's Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Services Practice Groups, Mr. Ulrich has substantial experience in planning, negotiating and implementing various types of merger and acquisition transactions, representing both buyers and sellers, as well as recapitalizations. He also advises and assists clients in structuring, restructuring and liquidating corporations, partnerships, joint ventures and limited liability companies, including the development and negotiation of organizational structures and documents.
