J. Scott Isherwood

Scott Isherwood brings a unique perspective to his legal practice, rooted in a strong background in economics and large-scale corporate operations. A Bay Area native, he studied managerial economics at UC Davis before working as an economist for Northrop Grumman, where he managed complex forecasts for aerospace contracts. This analytical foundation served him well when he transitioned to law, graduating with distinction from McGeorge School of Law in 1995. After a decade honing his skills at prominent firms—handling everything from multi-million dollar contract disputes to personal injury cases—Scott opened his own practice in 2007. He launched The Law Offices of J. Scott Isherwood to provide high-level, cost-effective litigation and consulting services tailored to small businesses and individuals. Today, his practice focuses on real estate and commercial litigation, where he uses his deep experience in dispute resolution to guide clients through complex challenges. Outside the office, Scott is a fixture in the Contra Costa community. Whether he’s participating in the local Bar Association or coaching his kids’ soccer teams, he values the connections he’s built in Northern California, where he lives with his wife and three children.
