Biography

John T. Szalan is a member of the firm’s commercial litigation and creditor rights groups. His experience includes representation of financial institutions, creditors, and institutional real estate clients, inclusive of settlement negotiations, title issues, and real estate transactions.

Prior to joining Neubert, Pepe, and Monteith, P.C., John primarily represented banks, servicers, lenders, and title and escrow companies. He has worked throughout the world of real estate including conducting closings to representing banks and servicers during foreclosure.

John earned his B.A. from Central Connecticut State University, and his J.D. from the Quinnipiac University School of Law. While attending law school, John was an active member of the Federalist Society. John is currently admitted to practice in Connecticut.

When not practicing law, John enjoys hiking in the Catskill Mountains and watching Formula 1.
