Jon Robertson, a distinguished trial lawyer with a rich history of
more than three decades in litigation, is dedicated to meeting your
legal needs. Over the course of his thirty-three-year career, he has
successfully handled 24 contested cases as the lead litigator, with
experience and knowledge extending to various areas such as
commercial contracts, business torts, real property disputes,
shareholder and partnership conflicts, lender liability, consumer
finance, and commercial equipment leasing. Admitted to practice law
in all California state courts, every U.S. District Court in
California, and the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, Jon Robertson
is a lifelong member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and
holds memberships in prestigious legal bodies like the American Bar
Association and the Orange County Bar Association. He served as
President of the USC Law School Alumni Association from 2015 to 2016.
Jon Robertson
initiated his legal career at renowned firms, including McKenna,
Conner & Cuneo in Los Angeles and Orange County offices, followed
by McDermott, Will & Emery's Newport Beach office. He rose to
partnership at Darling & Robertson, LLP and its successor firms.
Graduating from Pomona College in 1984 and the University of Southern
California Law School in 1987, where he was a finalist in the Hale
Moot Court Competition, Mr. Robertson brings academic excellence and
extensive experience to offer diligent and seasoned legal counsel,
showcasing his profound understanding of litigation and dedication to
legal excellence.
Beyond his legal
practice, Mr. Robertson has demonstrated leadership in various
capacities, including his role as Chief Operations Officer and Vice
President of Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. during its bankruptcy
reorganization in 2013. He has also contributed to committees such as
the Orange County Bar Association Judiciary Committee and the City of
Newport Beach Environmental Quality Affairs Committee. Engaging in
community service, he serves on the boards of organizations like the
Harbor View Hills Community Association and the Corona del Mar High
School Foundation. Additionally, he has held presidencies in
organizations like the Orange County USC Legion Lex and the Pomona
College Orange County Club. His commitment to his faith community is
evident through his role as an Elder at the Laguna Presbyterian
Church.
