Biography

Jonathan Rayas is a passionate advocate for the worker who relishes fighting for people. He is the founder and managing attorney of Jonathan Rayas, Esq. APC.

His practice primarily focuses on representing Workers, Plaintiffs, and Complainants in in single-plaintiff and employment class actions, in both the Federal Agency and EEOC Claims, along with California cases in the construction, skilled labor, restaurant, retail, service, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and other industries.

Prior to founding Rayas Law, Mr. Rayas worked for some of the most respected Defense-side laws firms in Los Angeles.

Jonathan Rayas holds his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School-2011. Jonathan attended Loyola Marymount University for his Bachelor's degree. He graduated from Loyola Law School in downtown Los Angeles at the age of 24. Jonathan is licensed to practice law in California (2011).

Mr. Rayas was raised in Whittier, CA and now calls Long Beach home.

Jonathan enjoys traveling, sports, and hanging out with his dog Bailey.

Mr. Rayas has extensive knowledge and experience in Auto Accident and Personal Injury claims. He has been successful against large corporate defendants.

Mr. Rayas has extensive experience handling Federal Employment Claims including claims with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) both in California, along with Arizona, New Mexico, Missouri, Illinois. He has represented individual federal employees against Federal Agencies including the U.S Navy, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Interior, Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Enforcement, and the Transportation Security Administration, among others.

Mr. Rayas has obtained 7 figures results against large employers and entities throughout the region. He has experience with Traumatic Brain Injury Claims, Catastrophic Accidents/Injuries, and a wide range of employment issues, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination.

Mr. Rayas has an extensive employment litigation practice includes claims of wrongful termination, constructive termination, discrimination, harassment and retaliation (based on age, gender or sex, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion and disability), sexual harassment, hostile work environment, unpaid overtime / unpaid wages, and FMLA violations.

Mr. Rayas started off in the civil defense litigation realm where he learned the ropes and became battle tested at some of the biggest Los Angeles area insurance/civil defense firms. He cut his chops on those cases before switching sides to representing wronged employees and individuals.
