Biography

Jonathan Rea is an Associate Principal in the firm’s Mt. Clemens office. Mr. Rea has spent over a decade concentrating his practice in workers’ compensation defense, representing employers and insurance companies throughout the state of Michigan. Not only has he represented workers’ compensation carriers and third-party administrators, but he has worked alongside self-insured entities, group insurance funds, and auto insurance carriers as part of subrogation efforts within the workers’ compensation court system. Since joining Kitch, Mr. Rea has been a part of the No-fault defense team, engaged in defending first-party auto claims as well as representing carriers in provider suits.

Mr. Rea received his B.A. in Economics and Business from Kalamazoo College, before securing a J.D. from John Marshall Law School (which has since become part of The University of Illinois Chicago’s law school).

Mr. Rea is licensed to practice in Michigan as well as the U.S. District Court Western District of Michigan.
