Biography

Joseph Alejandro Matuk is the newest attorney to join the Garmo and Garmo team. Mr. Matuk obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Studies and Comparative Ethnic Studies from Columbia University in the City of New York. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law where he was Operations Editor of Oregon Law Review. At Garmo and Garmo, Mr. Matuk practices estate planning, business transactions, and civil litigation.

Mr. Matuk externed for the Honorable Justice Patricia D. Benke at the Fourth District Court of Appeal, Division One. He also interned at the Port of San Diego, the Port of Portland, and Surfrider Foundation.

As a native San Diegan, Mr. Matuk resides in La Mesa where he eventually plans to raise his family. He enjoys spending time with his wife and family, attending live music, and is a craft beer enthusiast.
